Junior Varsity vs Eastern Jr & Sr High School (19 - 6) Win Peru Junior Varsity Tigers Firing On All Cylinders Against Eastern April 9, 2026 vs. Eastern Peru Junior Varsity Tigers easily dispatched Eastern on Thursday, 19-6. Peru Junior Varsity Tigers jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after a wild pitch scored one run, Rodriguez drew a walk, scoring one run, Morehead drew a walk, scoring one run, Wright drew a walk, scoring one run, Bielanski drew a walk, scoring one run, Babbs drew a walk, scoring one run, Hiles singled, scoring two runs, and Musser drew a walk, scoring one run. Eastern scored six runs on four hits in the top of the second inning. Deboy drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Winkler singled, scoring one run, and Foland doubled, scoring three runs. A walk by Wright, a double by Bielanski, and a fly out by Rodriguez helped Peru Junior Varsity Tigers extend their early lead in the second. Peru Junior Varsity Tigers scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Hiles doubled, scoring one run, Rodriguez singled, scoring two runs, McGuire singled, scoring two runs, and Wright grounded out, scoring one run. Bielanski started on the hill for Peru Junior Varsity Tigers. The lefty gave up one hit and one run over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking one. Jones started the game for Eastern. The starter allowed zero hits and seven runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one and walking six. Hiles, Rodriguez, and Babbs each threw scoreless innings for Peru Junior Varsity Tigers in relief. Peru Junior Varsity Tigers piled up nine hits in the game. Hiles, Rogers, McGuire, and Bielanski each collected two hits for Peru Junior Varsity Tigers. Hiles and Bielanski each drove in three runs for Peru Junior Varsity Tigers. Babbs led Peru Junior Varsity Tigers with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 15 walks for the game. Hiles, Rogers, and Bielanski each stole multiple bases for Peru Junior Varsity Tigers. Peru Junior Varsity Tigers ran wild on the base paths, piling up 11 stolen bases for the game. Peru Junior Varsity Tigers turned one double play in the game. Foland provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Eastern with three runs batted in.
