Logansport defeated Peru Varsity Tigers 7-0 on Thursday thanks in part to five runs in the fourth inning. Logansport got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Blake Pearson hit a sacrifice fly, and Braylon Ritchie singled down the right field line, each scoring one run. Logansport scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Kuper Jones singled, scoring one run, Grady Alexander hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Kolten Hudson doubled, scoring one run, Taylor Albright singled, scoring one run, and Ritchie drew a walk, scoring one run. Ritchie earned the win for Logansport. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Jackson Boswell took the loss for Peru Varsity Tigers. The starting pitcher went three and one-third innings, giving up six runs on eight hits, striking out none and walking none. William Rodriguez and Lukas Ulery each collected one hit for Peru Varsity Tigers. Peru Varsity Tigers turned one double play in the game. Peru Varsity Tigers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Isaac Braley had the most chances in the field with six. Logansport tallied 10 hits in the game. Ritchie drove the middle of the lineup, leading Logansport with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 2-for-2 on the day. Ritchie and Albright each collected two hits for Logansport.
