Peru hosted the IHSAA Sectional at Rock Hollow on Monday. The Tigers put together their best round of the season at the right time, shooting 345 and earning a 3rd place finish and ticket to the Regional for the first time as a team since 2019. Rocket Schwartz shot a season and career low 82, followed closely by Ben Wynkoop (also a season and career low) at 83. Karter Schwartz and Aiden Love each shot 90; Aiden finished with a career best round. Riley Astrup rounded out scoring with 97, equaling his season low. Western were the team champions with a score of 331 and Griffin Chambers of Southwood was the individual medalist with 77. The Tigers will tee it up in the Warsaw Regional at Stonehenge on Thursday. First tee time for Peru is 9:40 on the 10th tee. Spectator carts are available and can be reserved prior to the tournament by calling the pro shop. The cost for a cart is $40.
